- THE ROCHESTER RED WINGS got an outstanding effort from Yohan Pino as they snapped their four-game losing streak with a 6-2 win in the series finale over the Syracuse Chiefs on Monday night at Frontier Field. With Pawtucket's loss and Buffalo idle, the Wings moved into a tie for 3rd place in the IL North just 2.0 GB of the Wild Card leading Paw Sox. The Wings finished their 9-game, 8-day homestand with a 4-5 record.

- YOHAN PINO (10-2, 2.47) pitched seven scoreless before allowing a two-run home run to Sandy Leon in the eighth. Pino finished with seven-plus innings of work, allowing two runs on three hits and one walk while striking out five. It was the fifth time this season that he allowed 3 or fewer hits in 7.0 or more innings. With the win, Pino improved to 7-0 with an 0.92 ERA in 9 G (5 GS) at Frontier Field this season. The league is now batting just .180 against him as he's allowed only 47 hits in 73.0 innings.

- CHRIS HERRMANN (1-for-2; 2B, RBI, BB) doubled in the sixth inning giving the Wings a 1-0 lead and extending his hitting streak to a tied for season-high six games. Over the 6-game streak, he's batting .333 (7-for-21) with a HR, 4 2B, 4 RBI and 3 R. Herrmann has also recorded an RBI in a tied for season-high three straight games.

- JOSMIL PINTO (2-for-3; 2 RBI, BB) finished the homestand batting .462 (12-for-26) with 3 2B, 3B, HR, 3 R and 7 RBI. Over Pinto's last 27 games he's batting .337 (32-for-95) with 12 2B, 3B, 4 HR, and 27 RBI. Pinto's also now recorded multiple hits in 10 of his last 17 games. With the bases loaded Pinto is .500 (4-for-8) with two grand slams and 12 RBI.

- STEPHEN PRYOR tossed two more hitless innings to record his first save with the Wings. Pryor has allowed just two hits in his first nine games with Rochester as opposing batters are hitting just .047 (2-for-43) against him in the IL. Pryor finished with a walk and two strikeouts and increased his scoreless streak to 10.0 innings dating back to August 3. The last run he allowed was a home run to Russ Canzler of Lehigh Valley on August 1.

- PEDRO FLORIMON (2-for-4; RBI, R, 3 SB) stole three bases all coming within the seventh and eighth innings. It is the first time a Wing has stolen three bases this season and first time since Ben Revere accomplished the same feat May 10, 2012 at Pawtucket.
