Bombers Add Receiver Kemonte' Bateman, Offensive Lineman Chad Anderson to Practice Roster

WINNIPEG, MB., August 18, 2014 - The Winnipeg Blue Bombers today announce the addition of international wide receiver Kemonte' Bateman, and international offensive lineman Chad Anderson to the club's practice roster.

Bateman (6-1, 185, New Mexico State, February 22, 1990 in Los Angeles, CA) signed with the Eskimos in September of last season, and was released during the offseason.

In two seasons at New Mexico State (2011-12), Bateman recorded 78 receptions for 1,121 yards and nine touchdowns. Previous to his time in Edmonton, Bateman was with the NFL's Denver Broncos.

Anderson (6-3, 316, Northern Michigan, September 3, 1991 in Sault Ste. Marie, MI ) m ost recently spent time with the Indianapolis Colts. His college career at Northern Michigan saw him red-shirted in 2009, and begin his on-field NCAA career in 2010 as redshirt freshman. He saw action in three games in 2010 before becoming a regular O-Line starter in 2011. Anderson started all 11 games for NMU at left guard. Was switched to right tackle for 2012 and earned his third straight letter. Chad is the brother of current Blue Bombers defender Zach Anderson. Repeated his full season as a starter at right tackle in 2013 before graduating. Started his final 32 games at NMU.
