Atlanta Dream Conference Semifinals Schedule Set

ATLANTA, August 17, 2014 - The No. 1 seed Atlanta Dream will host the No. 4-seeded Chicago Sky at Philips Arena in Game 1 of their Eastern Conference Semifinals matchup on Friday, Aug. 22, at 7:30 p.m. ET. Tickets for the game, which will be televised on NBA TV, can be purchased by calling (877) 977-7729 or visiting www.AtlantaDream.net.

The Dream will also host Game 3 of the Conference Semifinals, if necessary, in the best-of-three series on Tuesday, Aug. 26 at 7:30 p.m. ET. That game will also be televised on NBA TV. Game 2 will take place on Sunday, Aug. 24, in Chicago, starting at 7 p.m. ET, and will be televised by ESPN2.

Atlanta, making its sixth consecutive playoff appearance but first as the conference's top seed, dropped the season series to Chicago, 3-2. The Dream has never before faced the Sky in the post season.

Friday's game against Chicago has been designated a Black Out. Coca-Cola will be sponsoring black "Unfinished Business" t-shirts which will be distributed to the first 3,000 fans, and all fans are encouraged to wear black to the game.

Before hosting the Sky, the Dream will first host a pep rally on Wednesday at Centennial Olympic Park beginning at 5:30 p.m. The pep rally will include giveaways, music, food and more, and Dream players and coaches will be on hand to address the fans.

The Dream will also be launching a new Playoff Central feature on its website, to provide fans with one location to find playoff information such as schedules, promotions, news and more.

The other Eastern Conference Semifinal will match No. 2 seed Indiana against No. 3 seed Washington beginning Thursday. The Western Conference Semifinals will include No. 2 seed Minnesota against No. 3 seed San Antonio beginning Thursday, and No. 1 seed Phoenix facing No. 4 seed Los Angeles starting Friday.

Game 2 - at Chicago, Sunday, Aug. 24 at 7 p.m. ET (ESPN2)

Game 3 - at Atlanta, Tuesday, Aug. 26 at 7:30 p.m. ET (NBA TV)

The three-time Eastern Conference Champion Atlanta Dream is in its seventh season in the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA). The Dream has earned the No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference for the upcoming playoffs, and has qualified for the playoffs in each of the past six seasons, including conference titles in 2013, 2011 and 2010.
