Billet Family FAQ
1) What is a billet family?
Many players leave home ot play Junior hockey. A billet or host family home is where a player lives during the season (mid-August through April).
2) Are billet families paid?
Families are paid $300 per month per player throughout their stay. This helps offset living expenses as the families are asked to provide three meals a day in addition to snacks.
3) What kind of "family" is suitable to be a billet?
Billet families vary from two parent families, a household of children to empty nesters. There is no 'typical' family; just a safe family home.
4) Can a family host more than one player?
Yes! Two or more players can reside together in the same home.
