Warriors Acquire Yakubowski

Moose Jaw Warriors General Manager Alan Millar has announced that the team has acquired 20-year-old forward Jaimen Yakubowski and a conditional 7th round pick in 2016 from Seattle in exchange for a 3rd round pick in 2016.
Yakubowski, 5'10" 201lbs, is entering his fourth and final year in the WHL. He was traded to Seattle from Lethbridge last season, in 47 games with the Thunderbirds he had nine goals and 18 points. In 2012-2013 with the Hurricanes, he had 32 goals and 50 points in 66 games.
Yakubowski is from Dalmeny, Saskatchewan, and was drafted by Lethbridge in the 4th round, 77th overall, in the 2009 WHL Bantam Draft. He has played 192 regular season WHL games, he has 58 goals, 97 points, and 386 penalty minutes. In the 2014 WHL Playoffs with Seattle, he had three assists in five games. He played midget AAA with the Beardy's Blackhawks (SMAAAHL) from 2009 to 2011, in 79 games he had 38 goals, 93 points, and 141 penalty minutes.
