Indianapolis Indians News Release

TOLEDO, OH -- Nick Kingham tossed seven innings of one-run ball and Jose Tabata and Andrew Lambo each produced RBI knocks to lead the Indianapolis Indians (62-62) to a 3-1 win over the Toledo Mud Hens (60-64) on Tuesday night at Fifth Third Field.

Kingham struck out six and allowed just three hits, including a solo homer for his lone run, to complete his sixth Triple-A outing of one run or less over six or more innings of work. He ran into a two-on, no-out jam in the bottom of the seventh, but retired the next three batters he faced to strand the tying run and pick up his fifth Indians win.

Chase d'Arnaud helped spot Kingham a run by singling to leadoff the third, advancing 180 feet on a one-base hit from Robert Andino and crossing home on an RBI roller from Jose Tabata. Two batters later, Andrew Lambo plated Tabata from second with an RBI single to right that put the Tribe up 2-0.

Matt Hague went 2-for-3 with a double, and after drawing a seventh-inning walk to reach safely for the third time of the game, scored an insurance run courtesy of a misplayed ball by Toledo's second baseman Brandon Douglas.

Wirfin Obispo then worked a perfect eighth and John Holdzkom retired the ninth in order as he notched his first save since 2006.
