Wolves Add Bordson to Pack

The Chicago Wolves announced Tuesday that they have signed forward ROB BORDSON.

BORDSON will join the Wolves for his fifth season of American Hockey League play after splitting the last four between Adirondack, Rochester, and Syracuse. He is coming off a 25-point season (11G, 14A), tying his career-high set in 2012-13, in 75 games last year. Additionally, he served as an assistant captain and set a Phantoms record with an ironman streak of 144 consecutive games played from 2011-14.

The 26-year-old has accrued 33 goals, 79 points, and 154 penalty minutes in 256 career AHL contests since turning pro in 2010. He collected 51 points (17G, 34A) in a 38-game stint with Trenton in the ECHL in 2011-12. The forward has some familiarity with the Wolves, having overlapped in Adirondack with right wing SHANE HARPER .

Prior to his professional debut, BORDSON enjoyed a successful collegiate career at the University of Minnesota Duluth. During his three years there, the Duluth native produced 47 points (13G, 34A) in 81 games, including a breakout junior season in which he put up 40 points (12G, 28A) in 39 games. He was twice named to the All-Academic Team (2008-09, 2009-10) and helped the Bulldogs capture the 2009 WCHA championship.
