EWU to Host Chiefs Preseason Game for Second Year

SPOKANE, Wash. - The Spokane Chiefs announced today that their only home preseason game, scheduled for Thursday, September 11, will return to Eastern Washington University's University Recreation Center (URC). The Chiefs will host the Tri-City Americans in Cheney for the second consecutive year, with official game time scheduled for 7:05 p.m.

"We're very excited to return to Eastern Washington University for our home preseason game this year," said Chiefs Vice President of Sales/Operations Mark Miles. "The URC provides an excellent experience for our fans and the response last year was very positive. We were thrilled with the support from EWU and our fans, and we look forward to this year's game."

EWU's URC Operations Manager Jamie Gwinn also noted the positive relationship between the Chiefs, EWU, and Chiefs fans. "We're very excited to host the Chiefs preseason game again this year," Gwinn said. "The fan support last year was great."

Tickets for the game will go on sale beginning on Thursday, August 21, as the Chiefs' Annual Fall Camp begins at Spokane Arena. They will be available in-person through the Spokane Chiefs Ticket Office, over the phone at (509) 535-PUCK, and on-site at the URC in Cheney.

Parking is free and concessions will be available on-site. More information, including directions and detailed parking information, is available at http://www.ewu.edu/locations/cheney-campus/map.

Doors will open to fans at 6:05 p.m.
