Green Bay Rockers News Release

Green Bay, Wis. - Following a day off on Tuesday for the Big League Dreams Showcase, the Green Bay Bullfrogs will now continue their two-game series with the Kenosha Kingfish on Wednesday night in Kenosha. It will be the second game of four-straight games against the Kingfish, with games three and four coming at Joannes Stadium in Green Bay on Thursday and Friday.

On Monday, the Bullfrogs and Kingfish played a total of ten innings as they not only played their regularly scheduled game but also completed their game that was suspended due to fog on June 21st. The continued game started in the tenth inning, tied at seven, and the Bullfrogs scored four runs right away in the tenth inning to win the game, 11-7.

Kenosha won a pitcher's duel in the second game, winning by a score of 2-1. Matthew de la Rosa (Lenoir-Rhyne) contributed the only run the Bullfrogs could muster up against Kenosha starter Dillon Mazzoccoli (Blinn College), by hitting a solo home run in the second inning.

On Wednesday, the Bullfrogs will look to even up the two-game series with the Kingfish and will start Nathan Disch (Jacksonville) on the mound. Disch, from Appleton, Wisconsin, will be making his fifth start of the season, and in eight appearances overall this season, owns a 4-0 record with a 1.80 ERA. His last start came against Wisconsin on July 30th when he threw seven innings and gave up only one earned run on four hits to pick up the win. Disch has won his last two starts, adding a win against the La Crosse Loggers on July 24th as well.

Kenosha will start All-Star Rico Garcia (Hawaii Pacific) at pitcher on Wednesday. Garcia has started ten games for the Kingfish and has a 5-2 record with a 2.12 ERA on the season. In 59.1 innings of work, Garcia has struck out 44 while walking only 12. Garcia picked up the win in his last start, which came on July 30th against the Lakeshore Chinooks, when he threw five and two-thirds innings, giving up just one run on four hits.

First pitch on Wednesday is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. from Simmons Field in Kenosha, Wisconsin.
