North Charleston, S.C. - The South Carolina Stingrays and Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Spencer Carbery announced today that Assistant Coach and Manger of Hockey Operations Ryan Warsofsky will return to the organization for the 2014-15 season.

Warsofsky helped the Stingrays to a 43-23-6 record and a South Division title last season in his first professional campaign as a coach. Before joining the Stingrays, the North Marshfield, Massachusetts, native served as an assistant coach at his alma mater, Curry College.

"We are lucky to have him," said Carbery. "He did a tremendous job last year behind the scenes and a lot of things to help me and help this team get better on a day-to-day basis." Click here to watch the full feature on Stingrays TV.

A former defenseman, Warsofsky skated one professional season split between the Central Hockey League's (CHL) Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees and the Turnhout White Caps in the Netherlands combining for 19 points (seven goals, 12 assists) in 23 games.

"I very excited and cannot wait to get going," mentioned Warsofsky. "Last year was a learning process, but I learned a lot from Spencer and I'm looking forward to learning more this season. I like to bring a lot of energy to the rink, win or lose, and going to work and the rink every day is something I look forward to."

In college, he divided four seasons between Sacred Heart University and Curry College adding 47 points (13 goals, 34 assists) in 71 games. His younger brother, David, is currently under contract with the Boston Bruins, one of the Stingrays' National Hockey League (NHL) affiliates.
