2013 First Round Draft Pick LHP Ian Clarkin to Join Tampa Yankees

Tampa, Fla. - The Tampa Yankees announced, Monday, that 2013 First Round Draft Pick, LHP Ian Clarkin has been added to the active 25-man roster. He was selected 33rd overall in the First-Year Player Draft out of Madison High School in San Diego, California.
Clarkin has started 15 games (made 16 appearances) for the Single-A Charleston RiverDogs with a 3-3 record and a 3.21 ERA. He's pitched 70 innings and given up 64 hits, 28 runs, 25 earned runs, six homeruns, 22 walks and struck out 71. Coming into the 2014 season, Clarkin was ranked as the New York Yankees 7th Top Prospect by Baseball America.
Clarkin is scheduled to make his Tampa Yankees debut at George M. Steinbrenner Field on Thursday, August 7th at 7:00pm when the team plays the Brevard County Manatees.
