LHP Ben Brewster promoted to Winston-Salem

Winston-Salem Dash News Release
The Chicago White Sox have announced the following roster moves affecting the Winston-Salem Dash:
- LHP Ben Brewster promoted to Winston-Salem from Low-A Kannapolis
- RHP Dave Putman assigned to Low-A Kannapolis from Winston-Salem
Brewster becomes the second 2014 White Sox draftee to reach Winston-Salem. First-round pick Carlos Rodon, who joined the club Wednesday, was the first. In 10 appearances between the AZL White Sox and Low-A Kannapolis, Brewster went 2-0 with a 1.37 earned run average. He whiffed 23 in 19.2 innings of work.
Putman logged six relief outings with Winston-Salem, and he posted a 3.86 ERA in 7.1 innings. The Duke product returns to Kannapolis, where he was 0-2 with a 3.86 ERA in 14 efforts.
Please note: Brandon Brennan is wearing #34, while Brandon Hardin will don #28.
The Dash's roster currently stands at 25 players, the Carolina League maximum.
