August 1, 2014 - United Soccer League Championship (USL)
Rochester Rhinos News Release
The U.S. Women's National Team will play Mexico on Sept. 18 at Sahlen's Stadium in Rochester, New York.
The match will be the second of two games against Mexico as the teams will also play on Sept. 13 at a venue to be determined.
The USA's fourth visit to Sahlen's Stadium (and sixth overall match in Rochester) will kick off at 7 p.m. ET and will be broadcast on ESPN2 and WatchESPN. Fans can also follow along on Twitter @ussoccer_wnt and @ussoccer_esp .
Prior to tickets going on sale to the general public, the Rochester Rhinos have created a promotion offering one ticket to the USA-Mexico game and two tickets to any remaining Rhinos home game with packages starting at $42. This Rhinos promotional offer goes on sale immediately and runs until Monday, Aug. 4, at 5 p.m. ET, while supplies last. Tickets can be ordered on rhinossoccer.com, by calling (585) 454-KICK (5425), or by visiting the MVP Health Care Box Office at Sahlen's Stadium Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Rochester Rhinos season ticket holders will have the opportunity to participate in an exclusive pre-sale beginning on Tuesday, Aug. 5. Rhinos season ticket holders will receive information regarding how to participate in this exclusive offer ahead of the sale to the general public prior to Aug 5. If Rhinos season ticket holders have any questions with the ordering process, then they can contact a sales representative at Sahlen's Stadium on Aug. 5.
The game in Rochester will be the final warm-up for both teams before the 2014 CONCACAF Women's Championship to be held in the United States in Kansas City, Kansas; Chicago; Washington, D.C.; and Philadelphia. The tournament will qualify the top three finishers directly to the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup, to be held in Canada, while the fourth-place team will enter a two-game playoff against a team from South America.
The last time the U.S. Women visited Sahlen's Stadium on Sept. 1, 2012, tickets sold out in less than 20 minutes after they went on sale to the general public. The WNT has averaged over 14,000 fans per match in 2014.
