Blowfish Close out "The Cap" with a 4-2 Victory

COLUMBIA, SC- The Columbia Blowfish (23-30) defeated the Hi Point Thomasville HiToms (25-27) 4-2 in the final regular season home game to ever be played at Historic Capitol City Stadium.

Blowfish starting pitcher Josh Reagan (South Carolina) went 6 innings, allowing 0 earned runs on 5 hits, while striking out 6, on 79 pitches.

The HiToms scored the first run of the game in the 4th inning and then the Columbia Blowfish scored 3 runs to take the lead in the bottom of the 5th inning.

Thomasville would add get with in a run in the top of the 8th before the Blowfish tacked on there final insurance run in the bottom half of the inning giving them a 4-2 advantaged heading into the top of the 9th.

Trevor Bradley (Francis Marion) pitched 3 innings, allowing 1 run, on 1 hit, but worked a scoreless 9th inning to shut the door and preserved the win in the final regular home game at Historic Capitol City Stadium.

JD Crowe (Francis Marion) was the offensive leader for the Blowfish as he went 2-5 at the plate with an RBI and a run scored.

Hi Point Thomasville starting pitcher Jordan Simons went 6.2 innings, allowing 2 runs, on 4 hits, while striking out 7.

The Columbia Blowfish will finish out the season on the road as tonight was the last regular season home game for the Blowfish at Historic Capitol City Stadium.
