Houchins Leads Owlz to 10-4 Win in Return

The Owlz beat the Ogden Raptors 10-4 Wednesday night to win the first game of a four-game series in Orem.
Zach Houchins returned to the lineup and got the Owlz on the board early, scoring Andrew Daniel on a double to left-centerfield.
The Owlz would begin to pull away in a sixth inning that saw Houchins drive in Daniel and Bo Way on a single hit deep to right field. Michael Hermosillio would double later in the inning, bringing home both Ryan Seiz and Houchins.
In the seventh inning the Owlz would add three more runs to their lead. Houchins would record another RBI when Way scored on a sacrifice fly. Wade Wass added the other two runs with a home run to right field. Wass has hit a home run in the last three games he has played in.
Houchins was 3-for-3 tonight with a double, a walk, and four RBI while Hermosillo went 2-for-4 with a double and two RBI.
Keynan Middleton got the start for the Owlz and pitched a solid five innings, improving, picking up his third win of the season. He struck out six batters and only gave up three hits. Chris Ellis and Jacob Peterson saw time on the mound tonight with Jacob Peterson being credited with the save.
The Owlz will take on the Raptors in game two at home Thursday night at 7:05.
