RHP Tyler Danish (3-2, 3.40 ERA) vs. RHP Dylan Bundy (1-1, 6.11 ERA)

7 p.m. - BB&T Ballpark (Winston-Salem, N.C.) Game #108 (Home Game #54)

BUCKNER, DYKSTRA SHINE SUNDAY Winston-Salem powered past the Wilmington Blue Rocks 6-1 on Sunday at Frawley Stadium thanks to big efforts from Grant Buckner and James Dykstra. Buckner went 3-for-3 with four RBIs, three of which came on his home run in the eighth inning. Dykstra logged a career-high eight innings, during which he allowed just one run on five hits. The right-hander, who whiffed eight Blue Rocks, retired the final 12 he faced en route to his second High-A win. The victory gave Winston its second rubber match win in nine tries and fourth road series win in 16 attempts.

BUCKING THE TREND Grant Buckner posted the seventh game of four or more RBIs by a Winston-Salem hitter in 2014. It was the first since Courtney Hawkins' five-RBI showing at Frederick on June 25. Buckner registered his biggest single-game RBI total since a professional-best seven against Carolina on June 2, 2013, at BB&T Ballpark. The West Virginia University product had not gone yard since June 12 at Potomac, a 22-game drought.

FINISHING STRONG Sunday starter James Dykstra capped a huge weekend for Winston-Salem's rotation. Dykstra notched the Dash's third straight quality start, and he worked through six innings for a ninth consecutive outing between Winston-Salem and Low-A Kannapolis. The trio of Tony Bucciferro (6.0 IP, 1 R on Friday), Terance Marin (7.0 IP, 1 R on Saturday) and Dykstra (8.0 IP, 1 R on Sunday) combined for a 1.29 ERA over 21 innings. In all, Dash pitching limited Wilmington to four runs on 14 hits this past weekend.

TRENDING UPWARD Through 20 games in the second half, the Dash owned a share of first place in the Southern Division. However, Winston dropped eight of its next 12 from July 9-21, a skid that sent the club four games out of the top spot. The Dash have bounced back with four wins in their last six contests, jumping back within a half-game of first.

FIGURING OUT FRAWLEY The Dash plated six runs in Sunday's finale at Wilmington after mustering only four runs in their first six games at Frawley Stadium, a notoriously pitcher-friendly facility. Winston-Salem hit .167 (31-for-186) in those six tough showings before breaking out on Sunday evening to the tune of 12 hits in 34 at-bats (.354). Winston did post back-to-back wins in Wilmington after dropping four of the first five meetings. Before this season began, the Dash were 19-7 in their contests 26 games in the First State.

ONE OF MiLB'S BEST Dash starter Tyler Danish will make his 12th start in the Carolina League on Tuesday night. The Valrico, Fla., native boasts a 3.40 earned run average in 11 starts with Winston-Salem after recording a 0.71 mark in his seven outings with Low-A Kannapolis. Thus, his overall 2.27 mark is good for 14th among qualifiers in full-season Minor League Baseball. He is the youngest hurler in the top 20 of this list (19 years, 10 months, 17 days). In five July starts, Danish is 2-1 with a 1.30 ERA (27.2 IP, 4 ER).

DANISH VS. BUNDY Danish will tangle with Frederick righty Dylan Bundy, who was a 2012 Carolina League All-Star. He was the first player to reach the big leagues from the 2012 Midsummer Classic, which was played in Winston-Salem. He made his Major League debut with Baltimore on September 23, 2012. This will mark Bundy's fifth High-A start of 2014, and he turned in his best last Tuesday at Myrtle Beach (6.0 IP, 0 R, 3 H).

DASH DOTS The Dash have fallen in five of their seven meetings with Frederick at BB&T Ballpark this year...Keon Barnum finished the Wilmington set with four hits, two runs and an RBI...Since the All-Star break, Barnum is hitting .316 with four homers and 18 RBIs (.213, 3, 30 in the first half)...Sunday marked just the fifth road game the Dash won when giving up the opening tally.
