Harrisburg Senators News Release

Brian Dupra fired six innings while allowing just two runs to Richmond on Monday, but the Senators' offense was neutralized in a 2-1 loss at The Diamond in Richmond.

Dupra threw 57 of his 94 pitches for strikes and allowed just one extra base hit, a double, in his six innings of work. Richmond recieved an RBI hit in the third and fifth innings from Jarrett Parker off Dupra for their two runs. Colin Bates allowed just a single in his two scoreless innings of relief.

Cole Leonida walked in the second inning and was then followed by Adrian Sanchez who reached on an error by Kelby Tomlinson. However, Richmond's Devin Harris followed Tomlinson's error with an errant throw on the same play, allowing Leonida to score from first for Harrisburg's lone run. Leonida and Sanchez also had both of the Senators' hits in the ball game, two singles that came back-to-back in the fourth inning. The Senators were able to draw five walks in the game, but were 0-for-7 with runners in scoring position and left eight men on base.
