Four Prospects Named to Team BC Shortlist

Vancouver, B.C. - The Vancouver Giants would like to congratulate prospects Brendan Semchuk, Owen Hardy, James Malm and David Tendeck on being named to the shortlist for Team BC ahead of the 2015 Canada Winter Games in February.

Semchuk was drafted by the Giants in the first round (10th overall) of the 2014 Western Hockey League Bantam Draft. The Kamloops native played 51 games with the Kamloops Blazers Bantam A1-T1 last season, tallying 77 points (45 goals, 32 assists). The Giants signed the 15-year-old to a Western Hockey League Player Agreement on May 29, 2014.

Hardy was selected by the Giants in the second round (42nd overall) of the 2014 Western Hockey League Bantam Draft. The Nanaimo product spent the 2013-14 season with the Pursuit of Excellence Bantam A1-T1, scoring 75 points (40 goals, 35 assists).

Malm was drafted by the Giants in the second round (44th overall) of the 2014 Western Hockey League Bantam Draft. A native of Langley, he netted 144 points (70 goals, 74 assists) with the Burnaby Winter Club Bantam A1-T1 last season. The Giants signed the 15-year-old to a Western Hockey League Player Agreement on June 23, 2014.

Tendeck was selected by the Giants in the sixth round (130th overall) of the 2014 Western Hockey League Bantam Draft. The North Vancouver native posted a 1.08 goals against average and a .940 save percentage in 30 games with the North Shore Winter Club Bantam A1-T1 last season.
