 Salt Lake Bees

51s Comeback to Take Down Bees

July 28, 2014 - Pacific Coast League (PCL1)
Salt Lake Bees News Release

Las Vegas rallied to score three runs in the bottom of the seventh, as the 51s edged the Salt Lake Bees 6-5 on Sunday afternoon. After Salt Lake had scored three in the top of the seventh to take a 5-3 lead, Anthony Seratelli singled to center and moved to second on a walk to Matt den Dekker. Michael Kohn (1-1) came out of the bullpen to face Matt Reynolds, who lofted a 1-0 pitch and with the help of a 20 mile per hour wind blowing out, dropped it over the left field wall for a three run homer that put Las Vegas ahead to stay.

The Bees were down 3-2 in the seventh, but took the lead on an RBI infield single by Brennan Boesch and a two run double by John Buck, who had two hits and two runs batted in to lead Salt Lake. Boesch had three hits and one RBI, while Shawn O'Malley added two hits and one RBI. Starter Wade LeBlanc, who left the game with a two run lead, went six and one-third innings and allowed five runs, four earned, on seven hits with six strikeouts and two walks.
