Today's Game
This afternoon, the Bisons host the Lehigh Valley IronPigs in the third game of a four-game series at Coca-Cola Field (1:05 p.m.). The Herd has won five of its last six games including four straight in its season series against the IronPigs. The Bisons have opened their season long 10-game homestand by winning three of the first four games.

With last night's win, the Bisons are now 8-3 on the season against the IronPigs. With a win today, the Herd can assure winning the season series for the third straight year. The Bisons finished the 2013 campaign with a 9-7 record and the 2012 season with a 8-7 record. The two teams meet once more this season in Lehigh Valley, August 15-17.
Brad Mills
LHP BRAD MILLS makes his Bisons debut this afternoon. The southpaw was claimed off waivers from Oakland on July 17. He pitched in one game for Toronto (ND, 2.0 IP, 7 H, 8 R, 4 SO) before being designated for assignment on July 22. In 14 games with Nashville (PCL), Mills was 4-2 with a 1.56 ERA (75.0 IP, 51 H, 18 BB, 77 SO).
Red Hot Herd
OF ADRON CHAMBERS returned from the disabled list and hit his first two doubles of the season. Chambers ended the night 2-3 with a run scored and a RBI...OF DARIN MASTROIANNI ended a two game hitless streak going 2-4 with two runs scored. He also took the team lead in stolen bases (17) after swiping second base twice.
Sizzlin' Schimpf
INF RYAN SCHIMPF had his sixth multi-hit performance last night and fourth in his last five games. Over the stretch, Schimpf is batting .400 with six runs scored, two doubles, a triple, two home runs and eight RBI. The slugger now has 21 home runs on the season between New Hampshire (15) and Buffalo (6), good for 12th in all of MiLB.
Bisons Bits
C MIKE NICKEAS has been placed on the teams' disabled list, retroactive to June 25. The Bisons 190 moves this year are just one shy of the 2000's team record of 191...OF KEVIN PILLAR leads the International League with 30 doubles on the season. He has played just 75 games with the Herd this season...The Bisons are back at the .500-mark (53-53) for the first time since July 12 (48-48).
Blue Jays Update
The Blue Jays (55-50) beat the Yankees 6-4 yesterday afternoon. Former Bison Dan Johnson drove in four runs, including a three-run homer in the 9th to give the Jays their first victory in 18 tries at Yankee Stadium. The two teams finish their three-game series today at 1:05 p.m.
