Boise Hawks News Release

EVERETT, Wash. - David Bote was 2-for-4 with a pair of go-ahead RBI hits, helping the Boise Hawks to a 7-6 victory over the Everett Aquasox at Everett Memorial Stadium.

The victory for the Hawks ended a two-game losing streak, rallying from a 4-0 first inning deficit.

Everett took advantage of two walks, two hit by pitches, and an error in the first to grab the early lead, but the Hawks answered with four in the second.- as Bote scored on a wild pitch; a run scored on a grounder by Charcer Burks; Rashad Crawford blooped an RBI single; and Mark Zagunis walked with the bases loaded.

Bote would give the Hawks a 5-4 lead in the fourth with a two-out RBI single, followed by an RBI single by Jesse Hodges. However, Everett answered with a Kyle Petty sacrifice fly in the fourth and a solo homer from Adam Martin in the fifth to tie the score.

In the sixth, Zagunis walked, stole second, and scored on a double by Bote off the wall in center. The bullpen did it from there, allowing just one hit the rest of the way, with Brad Markey getting the final six outs for his first pro save.

Boise heads to Hillsboro to open a three-game set against the first half champion Hops, as Erick Leal meets Nick Baker at 5;05 p.m. (MT).
