Bowie, Md. - The Altoona Curve collected a season-high 21 hits en route to an 11-0 win in game three of the four-game set against the Bowie Baysox. Zack Dodson pitched a gem for the Altoona Curve to pick up his third win of the season. The southpaw allowed just three hits.

The Curve got off to a hot start in the game when they tallied a pair of runs in the first. Alen Hanson led off the game with a double and scored when Drew Maggi hit a ground rule double that scored Hanson. Maggi later scored the final run of the inning on a sac fly by Elias Diaz.

Altoona plated another run in the second. After Willy Garcia collected his first hit of the game with a double down the left field line, the 21-year-old advanced to third on a sac bunt by Andy Vasquez, and scored when Hanson hit an RBI single.

With the Curve leading 3-0, the offense continued to produce with four more runs in the third. Josh Bell and Stetson Allie led off the inning with back-to-back singles and the duo scored on a two-run double by Dan Gamache. Garcia then followed with his second double of the game that scored Gamache from second. After a pitching change, Garcia scored on an RBI single to left by Gift Ngoepe.

In the fourth, Altoona tacked on three more runs. With one out, Bell lined his first career double with the Curve. Allie followed with a single to put runners on the corners. Diaz then roped a double down the left field line that scored Bell. With Allie at third, Gamache grounded out, but it scored Allie. Garcia then came up for the third time in the game and the left fielder hit a single to right that scored Diaz to give Altoona a 10-0 lead.

The Curve tacked on their final run of the game in the seventh on an RBI single by Diaz, his third of the game.

For the third time in five days, every player in Altoona's lineup has collected a hit while eight of the nine batters in the Curve's starting lineup had a multi-hit game.

Zack Dodson (3-7) picked up the win for the Curve after his best start of the season. The southpaw matched a career-high by going seven shutout innings and he allowed only three hits, the fewest in any start for Dodson this year. Matt Bischoff (2-4) suffered the loss for the Baysox after he failed to exit the third inning.

Altoona wraps up their four-game series with Bowie on Sunday night at Prince George's Stadium. LHP Pat Ludwig (1-4, 6.43) will take the bump against Bowie LHP Eduardo Rodriguez (3-6, 4.69) First pitch is at 6:05 p.m. while pregame on ESPN Radio 1430, WVAM, and the Curve Radio Network is scheduled for 5:35 p.m.

The Curve will return home on Monday, July 28 for a homestand against the Erie SeaWolves and the Richmond Flying Squirrels. Altoona will start off the homestand with postgame fireworks on July 28 & 29.
