Jammers Look to Pick up Home Victory Before Hitting the Road

JAMESTOWN, NY - The 2014 Jamestown Jammers sure are streaky. After a recent 7-game wining streak, the Jammers are 3-7 in their last 10 games, and have lost two in a row to tonight's opponent, the Batavia Muckdogs. Jamestown currently sits at 16-25, which puts them five games behind the Staten Island Yankees in the New York-Penn League Wild Card Race.

The Muckdogs come into tonight's game at Diethrick Park with a 20-21 record, and are also 3-7 in their last 10 games. They currently find themselves nine games back of the Pinckney division leading State College Spikes, and are one game back of the Yankees in the Wild Card standings.

It is Pirate Pride night at Diethrick Park. The Pittsburgh Pirates very own Pirate Parrot will be making his second ever appearance in Jamestown. Make sure to bring the whole family down for an awesome night of fun, entertainment, and Jammers baseball (*7:05pm First Pitch*).

After tonight's game the Jammers will head to Auburn to square off with the Doubledays in a three game series (Sunday-Tuesday). Wednesday (July 30th), the Jammers will begin a six game homestand, with three games against the Hudson Valley Renegades (July 30th-August 1), and Lowell Spinners (August 2-August 4).

Probable Pitchers

RHP Jorgan Cananerio (Batavia, 1-4, 6.92 ERA) vs. RHP Frank Duncan (Jamestown, 1-2, 4.55 ERA)
