Generals Win Big

Victoria, TX- Generals win big tonight by a score of 14-3 against the Woodlands Strykers. Kris Looper started on the mound tonight for the Generals, going 7 innings, allowing 2 runs, striking out 9 and earning the win. CJ Pickering had an amazing night going 4 for 4 with 3 runs scored, 4 RBI's and a solo homerun to top it all off.

The Generals started off right in the 1st inning when Justin Pacchioli scored from an error. David Paiz would score from a passed ball and that would give the Generals a 2-0 lead going into the 2nd.

The Generals came up big in the bottom of the 3rd inning by some clutch hits and walks. CJ Pickering started it off by hitting a single that would score Cedric Vallieres and Brian Portelli. Justin Pacchioli was walked with the bases loaded and JB Moss would score, 5-0 Generals. Paiz would walk with the bases loaded that scored Pickering, 6-0 Generals. Tanner Hill came up and hit a RBI single that would score Matthew Burks, 7-0 Generals going into the 4th inning.

Pickering started the scoring in the 4th for the Generals, when he hit an RBI single to score Bryce Only 8-0. Pacchioli came up a few batters later and delivered an RBI sinle to score Moss, Generals would take a 9-0 lead going into the 5th inning.

Pacchioli was hit by a pitch in the Bottom of the 6th with the bases loaded that would score Moss 10-0. Paiz would then come up and hit a RBI single to score Pickering 11-0. Portelli then hit a 2 RBI double that would score Burks and Pacchioli to make it a 13-0 game.

The Strykers found some offense in the Top of the 7th inning scoring 2 runs to make it 13-2 going into the Bottom of the 7th.

Pickering would continue his outstanding night at the plate when he hit a solo homerun to make the score 14-2.

Strykers would add another run in the Top of the 8th to make it 14-3. Bryce Welborn would come in and finish the last 2 innings of play.

The Generals split the series with the Strykers and will face the East Texas Pump Jacks tomorrow night at Riverside. Its Warriors Weekend and there will be an auction of the new American Flag Jerseys worn by the players, so make sure to come out and support the troops at Riverside at 7:05pm Saturday night.
