Your Cedar Rapids Kernels return to Perfect Game Field at Veterans Memorial Stadium on Tuesday, July 29th for a short, three-game home stand with the Burlington Bees. Here's a preview of what you can expect these next three games:

July 29-31 vs. Burlington

The Kernels host the Burlington Bees, the Midwest League affiliate of the Los Angeles Angels, in a three game series starting Tuesday, July 29th.

The home stand kicks off of Tuesday, July 29th with Twins Tuesday, presented by Great Clips. Get an on-line coupon from the Kernels Facebook page or email newsletter for a 2 for 1 ticket offer at Tuesday home games as part of Twins Tuesday, presented by Great Clips. The Kernels will wear special retro jerseys that will be sold via a silent auction on August 29th. And one lucky fan will win a pair of tickets to a Twins game for the 2014 season. Gates open at 5:30 pm and first pitch between the Kernels and Bees is scheduled for 6:35 pm.

You'll want to be here when the gates open at 5:30 pm as First Federal Credit Union will be giving $500 out at the main gates as part of Free Money Wednesday. First Federal Credit Union is giving out $500 at the main gates every Wednesday home game with the top cash prize of $100. The Cedar Rapids Parks & Rec. Department will hold their Home Run Derby before the game on the field, starting at 5:45 pm. First pitch between the Kernels and Burlington is set for 6:35 pm.

On Thursday, July 31st, the Kernels have teamed up with US Bank for a School Supply Drive at the Stadium. US Bank and the Kernels are collecting school supplies and backpacks at Thursday's game and will distribute them to local schools and students in need.

Attention all race fans! The Kernels are wrapping up the home stand with Racing Night on Thursday, July 31st. Fans wearing racing hats or shirts can receive a discount on Club or Plaza tickets. Local race cars will be on display around the concourse and fans can show their Kernels ticket stub from this game and get in FREE to the races at Hawkeye Downs on August 1st. It's also a Z 102.9 Thirsty Thursday and Little Caesar's College Night. Get 12 oz. regular draft beer or 20 oz. bottled soda and water for just $2, plus get $1 off margaritas at the Hacienda Las Glorias / La Cantina Mexican Cart. Fans that show their college ID at the Kernels Ticket Office can get a Club ticket and two slices of Little Caesar's pizza for just $7. Gates open at 5:30 pm and first pitch between the Kernels and Burlington is set for 6:35 pm.

Perfect Game Field at Veterans Memorial Stadium Daily Specials!

Run the Bases Sunday, sponsored by Planet X: After every Sunday home game, kids (and adults) can run the bases, play catch on the field and get autographs from the Kernels, sponsored by Planet X with media sponsor 104.5 KDAT. During the game, play Travel Advisors Baseball Bingo, co-sponsored by the Radisson near Mall of America for a chance to win a trip to Minneapolis and see a Twins game. Enjoy the balloon artistry of Papa Balloon on the concourse and face painting by Kennedy. Magician Jackson Green will entertain at Sunday home games.

Dollar Monday: Regular hot dogs, small popcorn, ice cream sandwiches, chips and Cracker Jacks are each $1 on Monday home games. Plus, get $1 taquitos at the Hacienda Las Glorias / La Cantina Mexican Cart.

Tickets for all Kernel home games are available on-line at www.kernels.com; in person at the Kernels Ticket Office, or by calling 896-7560 during Ticket Office Hours. The Kernels Ticket Office is open from 10 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday and from 10 am to 2 pm on Saturday. The ticket office is closed on Sunday, but opens at 11 am on Kernel Sunday Home games.
