NWL Announces 2014 All-Star Roster
July 23, 2014 - Northwest League (NWL1) - Vancouver Canadians News Release
(Scotiabank Field at Nat Bailey Stadium - Vancouver, BC) - The Vancouver Canadians Baseball Club is proud to announce that seven (7) players have been selected to participate in the 2014 Northwest League All-Star Game set for August 5th in Eugene, Oregon.
Vancouver will have three pitchers, three infielders and an outfielder taking to the field out at PK Park during the 2nd Annual NWL All-Star Game.
RHP Miguel Castro, LHP Jairo Labourt and LHP Francisco Gracesqui will take to the mound representing the North Division while SS Franklin Barreto, 1B Ryan McBroom, 2B Tim Locastro and OF Roemon Fields take their swings against the top arms from the South Division.
Canadians Manager John Schneider will lead the North Division along with his staff that includes hitting Coach Dave Pano and Pitching Coach Jeff Ware.
"Were honoured to be a part of this week out in Eugene where we can bring the best in the Northwest and showcase the talent that is spread throughout the league," says Schneider who lead Vancouver to a 25-13 record in the first half of the season.
The Northwest League will stop play for three days starting Monday, August 4th with games resuming on Thursday, August 7th as the Canadians will head to Tri-City to open a three-game series with the Dust Devils.
