NASL Week 3 Kicks off Tonight

NEW YORK (July 23, 2014) - North American Soccer League (NASL) Fall Week 3 gets off to a big start this evening with Wednesday Night Futbol when Carolina RailHawks visit League-leading San Antonio Scorpions at Toyota Field. This critical matchup will be shown on NASLLive.com and locally on MeTV KSAT 12.2 at 7:30 pm CT (8:30 pm ET).

Scorpions have won four of five encounters against the RailHawks in San Antonio, including the last meeting this past Spring, 3-0 on May 10.

Soccer fans around the world will also be able to 'Watch Every Match Live' throughout the 2014 NASL Fall Season including Week 3 venues in Atlanta, Carolina, Edmonton, Fort Lauderdale, San Antonio and Tampa Bay at www.NASLLive.com. On Saturday, a battle of currently undefeated, first-place teams highlights NASL Fall Season Week 3 when Tampa Bay Rowdies host San Antonio Scorpions at Al Lang Stadium on the NASL's 'Match of the Week' live on ESPN3 on Saturday, July 26, at 7:30 pm ET.

ESPN's live, multi-screen sports network is accessible online at WatchESPN.com, on smartphones and tablets via the WatchESPN app and streamed on televisions through ESPN on Xbox LIVE to Gold members, Apple TV, Roku and Amazon Fire TV.

The Scorpions and Rowdies are in a three-way tie (along with Minnesota United FC) for first in the NASL Fall Standings with San Antonio in the top spot on total goals.

Scorpions are also looking to remain perfect on the road this year having not lost a league match (5-0-0) away from San Antonio, however the Rowdies have won the last three meetings against the Texas club including the most recent this past Spring, 1-0 at Toyota Field.

The Fall Week 3 action continues on Saturday, July 26, when NASL Spring Champion Minnesota United FC looks to continue its unbeaten - currently six NASL games - when it visits Atlanta Silverbacks at Silverbacks Park at 7:30 pm ET on NASLLive.com.

United, who's currently second in 2014 Fall Standings on the total goals scored tiebreaker, leads the head-to-head series against the Silverbacks, however Atlanta has won three out of the last four meetings.

The RailHawks will also be playing their second game in less than a week when they return home to welcome Ottawa Fury FC at WakeMed Soccer Park on Saturday at 7:30 pm ET. The matchup will be on NASLLive.com and locally on each team's home radio (Carolina-99.9HD-3 The Ticket; Ottawa - TSN 1200).

Fury FC, who will also be playing its second game in four days after hosting an international friendly against Rangers FC tonight, won the only meeting against RailHawks this past Spring, 4-0.

Closing out Saturday's encounters, will be a rivalry that began almost four decades ago - rebooted last year - and continues in 2014 when the defending NASL Soccer Bowl champion New York Cosmos travel to take on Fort Lauderdale Strikers at Lockhart Stadium at 7:30 pm ET. The match will be on NASLLive.com and locally on Sofloradio.com.

The clubs met three times since 2013 with the Cosmos winning all matches, including the last encounter at Lockhart Stadium when the visitors posted a 3-0 victory this past Spring.

The 2014 Fall Season Week 3 concludes on Sunday, July 27, when FC Edmonton looks for its first win of the NASL Fall Season as it host Indy Eleven at Clarke Stadium at 2 pm MT (4 pm ET). The encounter will be on NASLLive.com and in Canada via City TV.

This is the first meeting between the two sides in Canada, however both teams last faced-off during the Spring Season when the visiting Eddies posted a 2-1 win at IUPUI's Michael A. Carroll Stadium
