Quebec 9, New Jersey 4

The Quebec Capitales bounced back in their second game against the New Jersey Jackals, splitting the doubleheader 1-1 after a 9-4 victory. The Capitales totaled 18 hits during the game, with DH Rene Leveret leading the way with a 4-5 game. Leveret homered for the sixth time of the season while picking up a pair of RBIs and scoring a run. 1B Balbino Fuenmayor also homered on the night--his 12th of the season--as part of a 2-5 night in the cleanup spot. Shawn Sanford worked around 13 New Jersey hits to record the win for Quebec, allowing four runs and striking out two over six innings of work.

Rockland 5, Trois-Rivieres 0

The Rockland Boulders shut out the Trois-Rivieres Aigles 5-0 after an eight-inning outing from Sean Bierman. Bierman held the Aigles to just four hits during the game, walked three and struck out three on 110 pitches. After he came out, Chad Robinson struck out two batters and worked around a lone hit in the ninth inning to put the game away and seal the win for Rockland. RF Ryan Stovall hit his 12th home run of the season as part of a 1-4 night from that plate that featured three RBIs.
