(Grand Rapids-MI) A two run fourth inning was all the Whitecaps needed to defeat the Burlington Bees, on Monday night, 2-0 in the series finale at Fifth Third Ballpark in Grand Rapids.

After a Ryan Dalton sacrifice bunt, the Bees had runners at second and third with one out. Kevin Ziomek went on to strike out Tyler Palmer and Trevor Gretzky, to end the threat.

Javier Betancourt recorded the first hit for West Michigan, a triple off the left field wall to lead off the fourth inning. Dominic Ficociello put the Whitecaps on top with an infield single, scoring Betancourt, giving West Michigan a 1-0 lead. Later in the frame, Grayson Greiner made it a 2-0 game with a sacrifice fly.
