Eugene Emeralds News Release

Eugene, OR - Another Monday home game for the Emeralds brings another "Good Karma Monday" to PK Park as the Ems are set to honor another local, nonprofit organization.

Starting during the 2012 season, the Eugene Emeralds have hosted "Good Karma Mondays", a promotion geared at raising awareness and funds for nonprofit organizations and charities.

The principle for Good Karma Monday is simple: Every Monday home game, fans that come by the Emeralds Box Office to purchase tickets for that nights' game will be able to choose what the price they pay per ticket in dollar increments. As a result, 50% of what the fan chooses to pay will be donated directly to the local charity partner of the night.

This Monday, July 21st the Ems will be celebrating Good Karma Monday by supporting Court Appointed Special Advocates. CASA provides a powerful voice for abused and neglected children in Lane County. CASA volunteers work to prevent children from being re-abused by facilitating their move through the court and child protective services systems as quickly as possible into safe, permanent homes.

Court Appointed Special Advocates are volunteer community members committed to keeping children safe. They are trained, supported, and sworn in by a judge to advocate in court for an abused child with an uncertain future.

For information on tickets, call (541) 342-5367, visit EmeraldsBaseball.com, or stop by the Eugene Emeralds box office at 2760 Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, located next to PK Park on the North side of Autzen Stadium.
