Syracuse Mets News Release

The Syracuse Chiefs are excited to announce their participation in Destiny USA's "Tykes Tuesday" program this upcoming Tuesday, July 22nd. The program will take place from noon until 2 p.m. in the lower-level Canyon area outside Cantina Laredo in the facility's new wing.

A pair of Chiefs players will be in attendance to interact with the children on Tuesday and read a baseball-themed story. The players will also lead the kids in an interactive, baseball-related game. Afterwards, the players will sign autographs and take photos with the children. Team mascots Scooch and Pops are scheduled to appear as well.

Every child that participates in "Tykes Tuesday" on the 22nd will receive a voucher for one free general-admission ticket to a Chiefs game, which can be redeemed for any regular-season game during the rest of the 2014 season, based on availability.

"We're excited about sharing the great game of baseball to some of the younger fans around town", said Chiefs general manager Jason Smorol. "We know our players and mascots are going to have so much fun hanging out with these kids!"

"Tykes Tuesday" will be held at Destiny USA every week through August 26th. Participating families will receive special offers that can be used throughout the facility.

Tickets are available for Tuesday's game or all games this homestand and can be purchased by calling 315-474-7833, visiting the NBT Bank Stadium ticket office during regular business hours or at syracusechiefs.com.
