(Double-A Affiliate of the New York Yankees)

RHP Greg Peavey (6-1, 2.86) vs. RHP Dan Camarena (0-2, 10.57)

Sunday, July 20, 2014 - Game #100 - Home Game #53

NYSEG Stadium - Binghamton, NY - 1:05 PM

LAST GAME: The Binghamton Mets were shutout over the final eight innings and held to just three hits in a 6-1 loss to the Trenton Thunder on Saturday at NYSEG Stadium. Dilson Herrera singled in the first inning to extend his hitting streak to seven games. T. J. Rivera knocked in the only run of the game in the first. Trenton starter Luis Severino struck out six batters and allowed just one run in his Double-A debut. It's just the second time that Binghamton has lost back--to-back games since June 8.

BINGHAMTON STARTER: RHP Greg Peavey makes his 11thstart of the season for the B-Mets and first since June 24th. The 26-year-old has spent much of the last month in Las Vegas. He made three starts with the 51's and went 1-2, while allowing 18 runs in 17.1 innings. That includes a loss to the Albuquerque Isotopes in his most recent appearance. He went 4.1 innings and allowed four runs in a 5-2 Las Vegas defeat on July 11. Peavey has given up more than four earned runs in just two appearances with Binghamton, including two shutouts. The Vancouver, Washington native was taken by the Mets in the sixth round of the 2012 draft out of Oregon State.

TRENTON STARTER: RHP Dan Camarena takes the mound with Trenton for the third time this season and the first time against Binghamton. The Bonita, California native is coming off a loss in his most recent start. He lasted just three innings and gave up five runs in a 5-1 loss to Akron on Saturday, July 12. Camarena made his first sixteen appearances of the season with Tampa (High-A). He went 5-5 with 2.35 ERA and posted 69 strikeouts to just 23 walks in the Florida State League. He was drafted by the Yankees in the 20th round of the 2011 draft out of Cathedral Catholic High School in San Diego, California.

WELL THAT'S NOT FUN AT ALL: Binghamton's loss to Trenton on Saturday was just the second time Binghamton has lost back-to-back games since June 8. The team is 27-11 in that time. The other back-to-back defeats were also at NYSEG Stadium against Erie on July 4 - 5.

TAIJERON TO TEN?: Binghamton OF Travis Taijeron can extend his hitting streak to ten games on Sunday. He would become the seventh B-Met to accomplish that this season and the second in the past month. Taijeron is the reigning Easter League Batter of the Week and is hitting .395 (15-for-38) during the streak.

IN NEED OF RELIEF: The Binghamton bullpen has allowed nine runs in the last four games. This comes after it allowed one over the previous five. The B-Mets relief pitchers still have a 3.43 ERA on the year.

HERRERA KEEPS HACKING: Binghamton INF Dilson Herrera went 1-for-4 on Friday to extend his hitting streak to seven games. He has a base knock in 18 of the last 19 contests. The 20-year-old has tallied at least one hit in all but four of his outings since joining Binghamton on June 19.

POWER OUTAGE: Binghamton has gone homer-less in each of the last two games. It's the first time the team hasn't sent one over the wall in consecutive games since a doubleheader on July 5. The team had homered in four straight games before the dry spell. Binghamton leads the league with 91 long balls in 2014.

HOME SWEET HOME: Despite losses in the last two games, the B-Mets have 34-18 record at NYSEG Stadium this season. That includes a 19-10 clip against teams in the Eastern Division. The mark is the second best in the league, behind only Portland.

NEXT GAME PREVIEW: Binghamton hits the road to start a three-game set at Portland. The first matchup against the first-place Sea Dogs is Monday at 7:00 PM. The B-Mets send RHP Gabriel Ynoa to the hill against a pitcher to be announced for Portland.
