Tennell Returns to Shock Roster with Host of Late-Season Moves

SPOKANE, Wash. (July 18, 2014) - The Spokane Shock (9-7) announced a number of roster moves today, highlighted by the return of wide receiver Adron Tennell (6-5, 205) from injured reserve.

Prior to suffering an injury during the Shock's home game against the Pittsburgh Power on May 9, Tennell had recorded 48 receptions for 494 yards and 12 touchdowns. Despite missing the last eight games, his touchdown total is still the third highest among Shock receivers.

In 2013 Tennell was named AFL Wide Receiver of the Year after hauling in 156 receptions for 1,792 yards and 49 touchdowns.

Also returning to Spokane is offensive lineman Ryan Cave (6-5, 335), who was activated from other league exempt after spending time with the BC Lions of the CFL. Cave made seven starts along the Shock offensive line this season before leaving for the CFL.

Wide receiver Nicheren Flowers (6-2, 200) was activated from recallable reassignment and has contributed 296 yards and four touchdowns in his four games with the Shock this season.

To make room for the three on the roster defensive back Bryant Nnabuife (6-1, 195) was placed on inactive reserve while wide receiver Samuel Charles (6-3, 210) and defensive back JT Fitzgerald (6-1, 205) were both placed on injured reserve.

The Shock finish off their 2014 home schedule with a game against the Tampa Bay Storm (8-8) on Monday, July 21 at 5:30 p.m. PDT. The game will be nationally televised on ESPN2 and can be found on the radio at 700 ESPN.
