Rawhide Release 2015 California League Schedule

VISALIA---While the Visalia Rawhide are celebrating their 68th season with another strong attendance pace, they are already looking ahead to next season, as the 2015 California League schedule was released today.
For just the second time in a decade, the Rawhide will open and close the season at home. They'll play their home opener against the High Desert Mavericks, affiliates of the Seattle Mariners, on Thursday, April 9th. The opening homestand will also see a 3-game visit from the San Jose Giants, the San Francisco Giants' club. They'll play a total of 10 home games against the men in orange and black.
The 'Hide will also face the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes, affiliates of the Los Angeles Dodgers, 8 times at Rawhide Ballpark in 2015, with a pair of 4-game series in each half: June 18th-21^st, and again August 20th-23rd. Rancho will be one of two Southern Division clubs to visit Visalia twice, along with the Lake Elsinore Storm (San Diego Padres).
Additionally, the Rawhide will again host their Independence Day Fireworks Spectacular on July 3^rd , as they will play the Stormin a certain sellout.
As always, Visalia will play 70 home and 70 away games for a 140-game schedule.
"This is a very exciting schedule for us," said Rawhide General Manager Jennifer Pendergraft. "We're pleased to again see the Dodgers' affiliates make two visits here, and we're very positive on how things line up throughout the season. We're already planning great promotions and upgrades for the coming year, and while we still have a lot of life left in 2014, it's great for our fans to be able to see what they have to look forward to next season."
As a franchise on the continual rise thanks to a renovated ballpark and increasing attendance, the Rawhide are excited for the rest of 2014, and thrilled to plan for an even bigger 2015!
