New Hampshire Fisher Cats News Release


MANCHESTER, N.H. - The following is a look at what's coming to Northeast Delta Dental Stadium during our next homestand. The first place Red Sox affiliate, the Portland Sea Dogs, come to town for a four-game series starting Thursday night.

OPPONENT

At the All-Star break the Portland Sea Dogs still top the Eastern Division standings (63-34). The next closest team is 4.5 games back. Just before the break, the Cats and Dogs played five in Portland. The Sea Dogs came out victorious, taking four of the five games. The Future Red Sox are 11-4 against the Fisher Cats this season.

TOP PROSPECTS

Henry Owens LHP- Owens throws his fastball in the low 90's and is the number 1 top prospect in the Red Sox organization according to MLB.com. This season he boasts an impressive 12-3 record with 111 strikeouts and a 2.21 ERA. Against the Fisher Cats, Owens is 2-0 with 12 strikeouts, 6 walks, and only 2 earned runs. He is scheduled to start on Saturday night.

Blake Swihart C- Swihart is the number 3 top prospect in the Red Sox Organization according to MLB.com. So far this season he has hit .296 with 10 HR, 48 RBI, and 4 stolen bases. Against the Fisher Cats, Swihart has posted 9 runs on 14 hits.
