Flint, MI - Coming off a very successful 2013/14 season in which the Michigan Warriors were the North Division Champions and advanced to the Robertson Cup Semifinals the Warriors are looking to add new talent to their 2014/15 roster. The North American Hockey League (NAHL) team will host their open tryout camp Thursday, July 17 to Thursday, July 24, 2014 at Iceland Arena in Flint. The camp is open to the public and free to attend.

"We're looking for young men of strong moral character who want to work hard and take their careers to the next level," said Michigan Warriors GM and Head Coach Moe Mantha, a 12-year NHL veteran and former U.S. Olympian. "We've graduated players to NCAA D1 and NCAA D3 college hockey clubs from our roster each of our 4 years in the league. We expect a high level of competition for our open roster spots and feel that will help us put on a great show for the fans this fall."

The players at the camp will be divided into 8 teams and will play head to head games Friday, July 18 through Thursday, July 24. The first round of cuts will follow the games on Sunday, July 20th and the roster will be adjusted to 6 teams. There will be 6 games on Tuesday, July 22 followed by another round of cuts which will reduce the field to 4 teams for the 4 games to be played on Wednesday, July 23. The final day of play will feature an All-Star game at 10:00 AM showcasing the standout players from the camp. The complete camp schedule is attached.

Warriors NCAA Division I alumni include forward Justin Hoomaian (Michigan State University), defenseman Michael Szuma (University of Michigan), goaltender Robert Tadazak (Army), defenseman Ryan Trenz (Northern Michigan University) and defenseman A.J. White (UMass Lowell), Joe Ferris (University of Connecticut), Cory Shueneman (Western Michigan University) and, Levi Erkkila (Northern Michigan). A number of additional players have committed to other college hockey programs.

Warriors 2014-15 Season Tickets are on sale now for the Summer Special price of $144 for adults and $126 for youth or senior tickets. You can reserve your seats now for just $50 each and have until September 1, 2014 to pay the balance.
