The Mets responded in the bottom of the first against Erie starter Kyle Ryan. With one out, Dilson Herrera and Brian Burgamy each doubled plating a run making it 3-1. Burgamy scored on a Darrell Ceciliani base hit cutting the Erie lead down to a run.

Erie jumped all over Lara once again in the third and once again with two out hitting. With Travis on first, Green doubled down the left field line, plating Travis for a 4-2 lead. Aaron Westlake followed and singled home Green making it 5-2. Westlake advanced to second on a wild pitch and scored on a Dixon Machado knock for a 6-2 lead.

Binghamton wasted no time once again making it a one-run game. Herrera led off with a single and was doubled home by Burgamy making it 6-3. With two outs, T. J. Rivera homered to left, making it 6-5.

The Mets tied the game in the bottom of the fifth when Dustin Lawley connected on his second home run of the series, making it 6-6.

After failing score with two on base in the top of the sixth, the Mets took their first lead of the night in the bottom half. Brandon Nimmo reached on a fielder's choice and Travis Taijeron belted a two-run home run to left for an 8-6 lead.

The SeaWolves tied the game in the top of the ninth against reliever Adam Kolarek. Travis led off with a single and Steven Moya followed and belted a two-run home run, his 21st, off the scoreboard in right-center making it 8-8.

The game moved into the top of the 10th after reliever Will Startup worked a perfect ninth. Lemon led off the 10th with a walk against reliever Chase Huchingson. Travis singled and advanced to second on a throw putting runners on second and third. After an intentional walk to Moya, Corey Jones singled home Lemon for a 9-8 lead. Green followed and sent a bouncer to first that scored Travis on a fielder's choice to make it 10-8.

In the bottom of the 10th, the Mets loaded the bases against Startup. Rivera was hit by a pitch, Nimmo walked and Taijeron walked. Startup walked pinch hitter Jayce Boyd, scoring Rivera, making it 10-9. Erie went to the bullpen and brought in Kenny Faulk with the bases loaded and no outs. Faulk struck out Kyle Johnson and Herrera and induced a pop-out to short from Burgamy, preserving the win, earning his first save.

Startup (3-1) earned the win allowing a run on one hit with three walks and a hit batter in two-plus innings of work.
