Cooper Marody Cracks NHL Central Scouting's Futures List for 2015 NHL Entry Draft

MUSKEGON, Michigan (July 8th) - With the 2014 NHL E ntry Draft recently come and gone, NHL Central Scouting has begun their preparations for the 2015 NHL Entry Draft and have released their North American and International Futures Lists based on the player's body of work from the 2013-14 season. As a result, the Muskegon Lumberjacks are excited to announce that Forward Cooper Marody has landed on the North American Futures List as a player to watch for the upcoming 2014-15 season joining 16 other players that played in the United States Hockey League (USHL) during the previous season.
Marody, the Brighton, Michigan native, played in 58 games last season with the Lumberjacks, his first season in the USHL, totaling 9 goals and 21 assists while ranking sixth on the team with those 30 points accumulated. Following his junior career, Marody has a college commitment to play for the University of Michigan out of the Big Ten Conference.
Prior to joining the Lumberjacks, Marody spent the 2012-13 season playing for Orchard Lake St. Mary's (Michigan) High School and led the team in goals (19), assists (23), and points (42) in 26 games played as a sophomore. As a result, Marody was a Division I First Team All-State selection by the Michigan High School Hockey Coaches Association (MHSHCA). In addition, Marody played for Team White out of the Michigan Development Hockey League (MDHL) recording 13 goals and 21 assists in 16 games played.
