July 7, 2014 - Eastern League (EL1)
Harrisburg Senators News Release
Harrisburg, PA - In conjunction with the Eastern League and the Altoona Curve, the rosters for the 2014 Eastern League All-Star game have been announced. The Harrisburg Senators have three players named to the Western Division All-Star Team in the 2014 Eastern League All-Star Game taking place on July 16 at Peoples Natural Gas Field. The Harrisburg Senators representatives for the game are outfielder Michael Taylor, infielder Cutter Dykstra and relief pitcher Neil Holland. With Holland's promotion to Syracuse, he will not be participating in the game.
Neil Holland (5-2, 3.86) The right-handed reliever has appeared in a team-high 29 games and has one save. Seventeen of Holland's 29 outings this year have been scoreless. Only seven of the 18 runners Holland has inherited this season have scored. Holland was a New York Penn League All-Star in 2010 while pitching with the Vermont Lake Monsters. The Nationals selected Holland in the 11th round of the 2010 draft out of the University of Louisville.
Cutter Dykstra has been a mainstay at second base for the Senators this season. He's currently batting .297 with five home runs and 43 runs batted in. Dykstra is second on the Senators in average, doubles (15) and on-base percentage (.369). He was originally taken by the Brewers in the 2nd round of the 2008 draft. He was traded to the Nationals in March of 2011.
Michael Taylor is batting .327 with 18 home runs and 54 runs batted in. He's also stolen 26 bases. Taylor is the only active member of the Eastern League to be among the top five in average, homers, RBI and steals. Taylor entered the season as the Nationals 7th-best prospect according to Baseball America. The Sens' regular center fielder hit three home runs on April 27 against Bowie. He was the Nationals 6th round selection in the 2009 draft.
The Senators box office is open Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Tickets are available via telephone during the same hours as the box office hours. Tickets are also available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, online at www.senatorsbaseball.com.
