Allen Americans News Release

Allen, Texas - The Allen Americans and Trevor Ludwig agreed on a new one-year deal today, as the defenseman returns for the 2014-2015 season.

Ludwig, 29, was born in Rhinelander, Wisconsin. He grew up in Colleyville, Texas, playing both high school and junior hockey in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. He played in 109 games for the Texas Tornado of the North American Hockey League from 2002-2004. He spent four years at Providence College, before playing his first professional game with the Iowa Stars in 2008.

The former 2004, 6th round draft pick of the Dallas Stars, will begin his 4 th season with the Americans this year. Ludwig played in 30 games last season, netting 15 points and 40 penalty minutes.

"After two straight seasons cut short by injury, I'm more than ready to get back on the ice," said Ludwig. "This team has achieved great things over the last couple of years and I'm proud to be a part of it. I look forward to defending our cup and keeping it right here in Allen for a third year in a row."

Trevor Ludwig was Allen's nominee for Man of the Year last season in the Central Hockey League. His outstanding work in the community, as well as his willingness to help out with off-ice events, has made him a popular player with the fans.

The two-time defending champions begin their sixth season in the CHL this October. Season tickets for the upcoming campaign are on sale NOW at www.allenamericans.com or call (972) 912-1000.
