Peter Andersson Re-Signs with the Canucks

Vancouver Canucks General Manager, Jim Benning announced today that the club has re-signed defenseman Peter Andersson.

Andersson, 23, registered 13 points (2-11-13) and 26 penalty minutes in 58 games for the Utica Comets during the 2013-14 season. It marked his second season in the AHL after spending the 2012-13 campaign with the Chicago Wolves, recording eight points (1-7-8) in 42 games.

On the international stage, the Kvidinge, Sweden native represented his country at the 2010 World Junior Championships, earning a bronze medal.

The 6'3", 194-pound defenseman was originally selected 143rd overall in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft by the Vancouver Canucks.
