Vancouver Canucks General Manager, Jim Benning announced today that the club has signed defenseman Alex Biega.
Biega, 26, spent the 2013.14 season with the Utica Comets, collecting 22 points (3-19-22) in 73 games played. It marked his fourth season in the AHL and first in the Canucks organization.
The Montreal, Quebec native was originally selected 147th overall in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft by the Buffalo Sabres.
