Ontario Fury News Release

The Ontario Fury, Driven by Mark Christopher Chevrolet, will open its 2014-15 home schedule with a special exhibition game against the Mexican National Indoor Team on Oct. 19 at Citizens Business Bank Arena.

The game, which will kickoff at 3 p.m., will not only be a preseason tune up for the Fury, but will be part of the Mexican National Team's preparation for the first-ever Arena Soccer World Cup, which will be next spring in the United States, with Citizens Business Bank Arena acting as one of the host sites.

"We're very excited to have this opportunity to host the Mexican National team's first trip to the Inland Empire," said Bernie Lilavois, the president and coach of the Fury. "This will be a great chance for local fans to see the Fury take on some of the best international competition out there, as we prepare for our season, and for the upcoming Arena Soccer World Cup."

Mexico will suit up a team featuring players vying for a spot on the final Arena Soccer World Cup team. The team is coached by Rene Ortiz, who is also the head coach of the Mexican National Futsal team, and a veteran of 13 seasons of indoor soccer in the United States.

"I am pleased to have this opportunity to get a chance to test my squad against a team as professional as the Fury," said Ortiz. "And to have the chance to play in an arena such as Citizens Business Bank Arena is going to be not only a pleasure, but will be a great atmosphere."

The preseason game will be included for free as part of the Fury's 2014-15 season ticket package. Individual tickets, which are on sale at the Citizens Business Bank Arena box office, are $10, $15, $20 and $40, including facility fees. Individual tickets can also be purchased online at the Citizens Business Bank Arena website. Groups of 10 or more will receive $2 off per ticket, and are available through the Ontario Fury's offices at 909-240-5242.
