PHILADELPHIA, PA - Saint John Sea Dogs defenceman Olivier LeBlanc has been selected by the Columbus Blue Jackets at the 2014 National Hockey League Draft, which wrapped up today.
LeBlanc, 18, was picked in the seventh round, 197th overall.
The Quebec City, Quebec, native led all Saint John defencemen in scoring during the 2013-14 season with seven goals and 33 points in 56 games.
He was also named the top defenceman at the team's annual awards banquet in March.
LeBlanc is the 14th Sea Dogs player in franchise history to be drafted by an NHL team.
