Desert-Bound Bunting Chosen by Arizona Coyotes

With the 117th pick overall, the newly-named Arizona Coyotes selected Hounds' winger MICHAEL BUNTING in the 4th Round of the 2014 NHL Entry Draft.

During the 2013-14 season, Bunting notched 15 goals and 27 assists, good for 42 points and a +10 rating in 48 games played.

His point totals put him 8th on Greyhounds scoring, despite missing twenty-games prior to March 14th due to injury.

He had 6 points (5g, 1a) in nine post-season appearances.

The Scarborough, ON product is the 3rd Hound selected thus far.

BUNTING CAREER HIGHLIGHTS:

Ranked 49th for North American Skaters in Central Scouting Final Rankings Notched a hat-trick in Game 5 of Round 1 vs Owen Sound (Friday, March 28, 2014) .. Missed 20 games before returning March 14 (injury) .. Recorded his 1st career hat trick on Wednesday, October 23, 2013 vs Sarnia. Was named 1st star of the game .. Scored his 1st-career OHL goal on Saturday, September 21, 2013 vs Sudbury .. Committed to the Program on September 3, 2013 .. Played the 2012-13 season with the Don Mills Flyers where he had 27 goals and 12 assists .. Named to OHA Cup Tournament (AAA) All-Star team after posting 6 goals and 8 assists in 7 games played .. in 2012 was the Blessed Cardinal Newman (Toronto) high school athlete of the year (ice hockey, badminton and volleyball) .... Last season was Michael's 1st season of AAA hockey.
