Pippins To Broadcast Three Games From Unique Locations Around County Stadium

Yakima Valley Pippins News Release

YAKIMA, Wash. - The Yakima Valley Pippins are excited to announce that three home radio broadcasts will originate from unique locations around Yakima County stadium instead of the press box this summer.

The first of these unique broadcasts will occur Saturday June 28, as Pippins Play-by-Play Broadcaster Ryan Rouillard will broadcast the entirety of the game against the Kitsap BlueJackets from the area outside of the Dugout Bar, located along the first base line. The locations for the other two broadcasts will be determined at a later time, but the dates have been set for July 19 and August 2.

"We're always looking to push the envelope and try new things," said Pippins General Manager Danny Tetzlaff. "This is an excellent opportunity for us to give fans a behind-the-scenes look at what Ryan Rouillard does on a nightly basis."

The broadcasts, just like every other Pippins game, will air live on 1460 ESPN Yakima and online through the station's website, 1460ESPNYakima.com.

"This is an opportunity I'm very excited for," said Rouillard. "While the County Stadium press box is one of the best in the West Coast League, there are other features of the stadium that I hope to bring to life through these special broadcasts."

The Pippins return home from Kelowna, BC Friday to take on Kitsap and Walla Walla in a six-game homestand.
