Freshman Again Take Weekly Awards

(Arlington, TN) The Prospect League in association with Pointstreak Sport Technology announces the selection of the Player and Pitcher of the Week Ending June 15.

For the second consecutive week, Freshman take the honors. Danville's Bryan Baker is the Pitcher of Week, the second Dan to capture to honor this season, C J Burdick won last week on the strength of his no-hitter. Quincy's Adam McGinnis takes home Player of the Week honors.

Baker posted a 1-0 record for the week as he pitched 7 shutouts, allowing just 4 hits, walking one and striking out 11. Baker, RHP, is from University of North Florida.

Gems catcher Adam McGinnis, Western Illinois University, hit a robust .516 (16 for 31) with 3 doubles, a triple, 4 homeruns and 13 RBI for week.
