Bulls Announce Tender of Forward Zane O'Bryan

AMARILLO, TX - Experience.

It's something that can go a long way to help young athletes to have that extra advantage over their competition.

Zane O'Bryan hopes that the experience gained at the NA3HL will go to serve him well as he battles for a roster spot later this summer on the 2014-15 Amarillo Bulls. The St. Louis Missouri native has signed a tender with the team to become the latest member of Jon Rogger's squad.

"I think the NA3HL has helped me a lot to get ready for the Amarillo Bulls," O'Bryan said. "I played a lot against older players which was something I wasn't use to. I think playing all season long was a great benefit.

Head Coach Jon Rogger said that experience will be very valuable.

"When he comes to camp he has already been playing against 19-20 year olds and has seen guys with visors on," said Rogger. "That should give him that much more confidence in camp. I have a lot of confidence in him and I think he is going to be a heck of a player."

O'Bryan a native of St. Louis Missouri played in 47 games with his hometown team and notched 15 goals and 23 assists for 48 points. He was plus 18 with four power play goals and another four game winners.

"I saw him play a bit when I was in St. Louis," Rogger said. "He is still young but can be a special player. Zane has good hands and vision. He has the hockey sense that is needed to be successful."

Zane O'Bryan is thrilled to join the Bulls and has begun his offseason work out to get in the best possible shape for Main Camp.

"I've wanted to play College Hockey since I was five years old and I know the Bulls can help me with that goal," he said. "Amarillo has always done a great job of moving players on to the next level."

O'Bryan said that fans can expect a hardworking player who considers himself a good teammate.

Zane O'Bryan is the 10th player tendered by the Amarillo Bulls for the 2014-15 season joining forwards Jake Slaker, Jason Kowalczyk, Elijiah Barriga, JJ Huerena, Jesse MacIntyre, Ryan Walker, and Connor Wood, as well as defenseman Sean Giles, and goaltenders Jacob Weatherley, and Alec Derks.
