IFL Defensive Player of the Week: Tyler Knight (LB, Sioux Falls Storm)

The Sioux Falls Storm (13-0) squeaked past the Texas Revolution (3-10) with a come from behind 34-29 victory on Saturday night. The win extended the Storm's home winning streak to 40 games and kept the team's undefeated season alive. Playing without a few key starters on offense, Sioux Falls' defense answered the call and led the team to victory. Reigning IFL Defensive Player of the Year, Tyler Knight (6'0, 225 lbs./Mississippi Valley State), earned his 3rd Defensive Player of the Week honor in 2014. For the game, Knight registered 16 tackles and 2.5 sacks. Knight leads the IFL in tackles (140) and tackles for loss (18.5). He also ranks 2nd with 8.5 sacks. Unfortunately for the Storm, Knight exited the game late in the fourth quarter with a hamstring injury. If Knight were to miss any time it would be a big loss for the Storm's vaunted defensive unit. The Storm finish up the regular season on the road against the Cedar Rapids Titans in Week 17.
