Sarnia Sting News Release

2014 Sarnia Sting Orientation came to a close this afternoon following a 10:00 a.m. Scrimmage at the RBC Centre. Team White came out on top once again, with a last minute goal by Jakob Chychrun to edge out Team Black by a score of 3-2.

Second Round pick, Jordan Kyrou opened up the scoring for Team white in the first with a well placed shot that beat Kaden Fulcher on the glove side. Sarnia native Brett Storr added a goal for Team White as well. Lambton Jr. Sting forward, Brett Corrigan scored both goals for Team Black in the loss.

Head Coach Trevor Letowski weighs in on this year's Orientation Camp."Overall, very happy with the camp. We put a priority on drafting character kids and we feel that that's the way we're going to win here. We have a lot of good players that played well here, we're excited about this group moving forward."

With Orientation Camp coming to a close following exit meetings, Letowski argues that this type of camp can be very beneficial to players looking to make the team in the fall. "You're not going to make, or not make the team this weekend. This is more to get comfortable with our organization, get to know the coaching staff and get a better feel for their surroundings."
